The basic rate charged is £15 per hour plus entry charges to Record Offices if applicable. Entry charges will be shared pro rata between clients if applicable. The cost of any copies of original certificates or documents will be charged at the rate charged by the relevant archive. Travel costs will also be charged if it is necessary to view records outwith the Glasgow area.

As all research is different in its requirements and very personal to the person involved we will discuss your requirements with you fully and give you an individual quotation tailored to your individual needs. Any research can be carried out in stages to spread the costs if that is more suitable for you.

A deposit of £40 is requested in advance of any research being undertaken. A PayPal invoice will be sent to you which can be paid either using an existing PayPal account or by debit/credit card. 


A full report will be prepared for all research projects undertaken. This will include full details of all records examined, complete transcripts of all certificates and census records relating to the project together with a full report on your family personally tailored to your needs and interests.
